Showcase Sunday #15

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Vickie at Books Biscuits and Tea. The aim of this event is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. For more information about how this feature works and how to join in, click here.

I cannot believe how quickly we are all getting into 2014! I have a good feeling about this year, so I just hope I'm right. The year started off better for me than last year as I had my Performance Review at work and in some areas I actually did better than I thought! So a very positive start to the year :). Now onto books.

Physical Books:

Wake by Anna Hope (Review Copy)
Death Comes to Pemberley by P.D. James (Purchased)
Grimm Tales for Young and Old by Phillip Pullman (Purchased)
Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld (Purchased)
The Winter Folly by Lulu Taylor (Purchased)

Ebooks

Patently in Love by Rhoda Baxtar (Review Copy)

There were loads of half price deals at my local WH Smith Store so I just could not resist buying those above. The Winter Folly sounds absolutely brilliant and I cannot wait to read it! I've been meaning to read Death Comes to Pemberley for a while and there has recently been a TV adaption in the UK. I just had to get Grimm Tales for Young and Old, as I have had my eye on it for ages and the fact that this copy was signed, sealed the deal for me buying it. Wake really caught my interest and I am part of the blog tour for it on the 23rd January, so if you are in the UK, there will be a chance to win one of three copies! So that is my book haul for this week. What have you all bought or received this week? Do let me know in the below comments section. Have a great rest of the weekend.

  3. Nice haul.

I had Grimm Tales on my radar last year and then lost track of it, so I've added it on to my Wish List as a result of this post.

    Enjoy your reads.

  4. Yay for new books! It looks like you picked up some interesting ones this week (aren't sales awesome? *g*) Grimm Tales in particular sounds interesting, I'm a bit iffy about Phillip Pullman though...but knowing me I'll check it out anyway ;)
