Blog Tour: Christmas at Mistletoe Cove by Holly Martin

Good morning book lovers! Today it's my turn on the Christmas at Mistletoe Cove blog tour today. Yes Christmas is starting to make an appearance on the blog already! I am excited to share my review with you as part of the tour. Enjoy :)

review

Holly's always has this way of getting me excited for Christmas, she captures the magic and excitement of it all perfectly. I know it's only September but get me a mince pie and some fairy lights right now! I cannot wait.
We are back at Hope Island for the third time with Holly's latest offering Christmas at Mistletoe Cove and a new character focus with Eden and Dougie. Eden has been in love with Dougie for twelve years and she is half excited/half dreading his permanent return to the Island after living in New York. How can she live next to him knowing that he doesn't return the same feelings?
Even though Holly's stories are all separate, it's lovely going back to Hope Island and meeting the same faces again, especially Bella and Isaac from Spring at Blueberry Bay and although they aren't the main focus we get to see a tiny continuation from where we left off and I loved that.
Again this is predictable, but I like that, sometimes it's nice to know that you are going to get a pretty much happily ever after with Holly's books. If only real life was a little more like that! Oh this was so romantic though! Dougie is the ultimate romantic hero. He's so thoughtful and caring and I would like one please.
Holly again creates fabulous and funny characters and in particular Eden's Dad was hilarious at bringing up awkward conversations and not actually realising it! There are of course the usual frustrations with the main character, her doubts and worries, but then that's only because I know I would be the same and have been the same!
Another great Christmassy read from Holly, full of romance and a sprinkling of magic.

Christmas at Mistletoe Cove is out now
