Adult colouring books seem to be the thing to be doing right now and I myself am included in this new craze. There are so many different ones out there that you can choose from, but I always find myself drawn back to Johanna Basford's beautiful illustrations. If you took to the craze at the beginning you will remember Johanna's original Secret Garden and the Enchanted Forest that proved so popular, it was out of stock for months, and now she has released the beautiful Secret Garden Artist's edition, with some stunning illustrations.

I must admit I was not so keen when these books started to come out, but I started helping my niece with some colouring in and then I was hooked!

The illustrations in The Secret Garden are gorgeous. They are ones that you instantly want to colour in and make your own. What makes this different from the other books out there is that you can pull the illustrations out and frame them, rather than them being confined to a book.

The pages are thick. meaning that you can use any pens to colour in without the risk of it going through the pages.

Some examples of the illustrations and some of my attempts that you can expect to colour in.

This is so addictive as well as very therapeutic, even my boyfriend joined in and he really isn't into to anything like that, so don't knock it until you have tried it. And if you are yet to join in with the colouring in craze, then definitely start with Johanna's beautifully detailed illustrations as you won't turn back.
