Hello lovelies on this fine Monday. Today I am happy to be kicking off the week with my stop on the Blog Tour for Fairytale Beginnings by Holly Martin. I have a review of this wonderful book to share with you all. As always the other stops on the tour are listed below so please do stop by their blogs for some other great content posts.

I must firstly express my utter delight at the cover of this book! How absolutely gorgeous is it? I could stare at it all day and it of course perfectly sums up the romantic, fairytale like story inside it.

I always enjoy Holly Martin's stories, One Hundred Proposals being my all time favourite, so was really looking forward to reading her latest.

Being a huge Fairytale and Disney fan, I can honestly say that this story was right up my street. I had quite a big resonance with the main character Milly for her love of Disney and the romance in those stories. You can't help but like her constant enthusiasm and bubbliness. The only thing I found frustrating was her self doubt, which is completely hypocritical of me as I am like this, but from an outsiders point of view, I could see how annoying this can be. But despite that this obviosuly made her more beliveable as a character and it was completely understandable with her background and again could empathise with what she had been through.

Yes there were some predictable parts in it, but when you read lots of romance novels, you do know slightly what you are going in for and this didn't deter me. The whole point of romance is ultimately the romance and how the main characters come together. I absolutely adored the chemistry between Milly and Cameron, it was so romantic, and again had that frustration of knowing that they were meant to be together, but had obstacles in the way.

I was completely swept up in the setting of this story. Not only being set in a castle, it had all the things that go with it; ghosts, a curse, missing treasure, true love and a villain. I sighed with contentment at so much of this. I cannot deny myself a good fairytale story and Holly delivered here. The Disney references did not go amiss and I would happily watch this if it ever became a film- would be brilliant if Disney picked it up as it has the perfect fairytale recipe.

A heartwarming, cute and of course fairytale like story that I happily whiled away the hours reading.
