Book Event: Romance Festival Live

Last Saturday I was able to go to this really utterly fabulous event at the amazing Harper Collins offices. I have been to their offices before but had missed out on the famous book wall, so apart from meeting all these amazing authors, I was hoping to get a glimpse at this wall.

When I first got there we had a chance to mingle and have some pink fizz and gorgeous cakes! Yummy :). And I got to meet the below brilliant fellow bloggers again! I really do admire these lovely ladies, their blogs are fab. Catriona from Fabulous Book Fiend was also there, but sadly isn't in this photo. I also FINALLY got to see the book wall!! And it is amazing!

Sharon, Me, Julie, Amanda and Rea :)

Next it was author mingling time, and there was some serious fangirling from me.

I got to meet Sarah Morgan, whose book Some Kind of Wonderful is out very soon! So silly of me that I didn't get a picture with her

Erin Lawless is the author of The Best Thing I never Had and Somewhere Only we know. She was so lovely and very funny.

I then finally got to meet Alexandra Brown. This lady is so lovely and felt so in awe of her. She must have thought I was a bit mad! Oops! Her new book The Great Village Show is out at the end of July!

Another lovely author I got to meet was Bella Osborne, who not only has a lovely name but has a book out with THE most cute cover called It Started At Sunset Cottage, I love it so much, I can't wait to read it. Also in the background on the right is Eva Woods, who again I didn't get a photo with, because I was too over excited. She is the author of The Thirty List and this book sounds right up my street as it's all about the things that you think you are supposed to do before you turn thirty, but how it doesn't always work like that. I shall be reading this one soon too!

My most favorite author there though was Carmel Harrington. Carmel is just as lovely in real life as she is on twitter and it was SO lovely that she knew who I was as well. Such a wonderful lady. I was so excited to pick up her book The Life You Left in paperback and of course get it signed :) I love this pic so much, it is now my twitter avatar.

I had such a good time at The Romance Festival. It was even better than I possibly could have thought. Great company, fab authors and wonderful bookish people and I must mention the really really lovely Cara Frances who was a real gem. At the end of it we got to take home this fab goodie bag and other brilliant books! I felt hugely spoiled. A MASSIVE thank you to Romance Team :) I had a brilliant time with smiles all round.
