The Right Side of Mr Wrong by Jane Linfoot

Synopsis

One-off, moving on sex, wasn’t meant to be this hot…

When ultra organized workaholic Shea Summers is asked to become the “wife” of the Lord of Edgerton Manor, the last thing she wants to do is play house with a stranger… but maybe it’s time she did something off the clock?

Brooding playboy, Brando Marshall is far from happy when Shea turns up at his sprawling manor with production crew in tow. Surely she’s just another woman after his wallet? Then again, after catching an unscheduled glimpse of her knickers, Brando’s inspired to teach this “gold-digger”a lesson!

Review

Shea Summers is given an opportunity she can't really refuse to become "wife" of the Lord of Edgerton Manor, but she doesn't quite expect to become quite so close to a stranger. Brando also is not at all happy that Shea has come to his manor with a film crew in tow. She must just be like all the others; after his money. He does like what he sees though and decides to teach Shea a lesson.

This was quite an unexpected steamy read! The undeniable heat and tension between Shea and Brando made for seriously good reading! I felt like shouting at the pair of them sometimes to just put their problems aside and don't deny their almost uncontrollable feelings and desire for one another.

There was a great depth to the characters that made this more than just a hot read and as Brando and Shea's individual stories begin to unfold, I started to understand their hesitancy and reluctance when it came to love. We get both characters points of view which is what I always like, as it makes the story more interesting and I thought Jane did this really well.

I did really like Brando! Phew, what a man character he was! Would like more men like him in real life lol. And I was incredibly envious of Shea, she is the same age as me, but seemed so much more sophisticated and womanly. Two things I'm not.

A fun, chick-lit read, with a bit more steam added to the mix.

4/5
