Showcase Sunday #17

Showcase Sunday is hosted by Vickie at Books Biscuits and Tea. The aim of this event is to highlight our newest books or book related swag and to see what everyone else received for review, borrowed from libraries, bought in bookshops and downloaded onto eReaders each week. For more information about how this feature works and how to join in, click here.

Was a very busy week this week, but I had a fantastic evening on Tuesday as I went a book launch event. It was for The Lie of You by Jane Lythell and I got to meet her editor and one of the publicists that sent me her awesome book.  I will be doing a blog post on the evening soon. Now on to book post!

Some really exciting books this week. The Dead Wife's Handbook is one the books that I have been looking forward to for this year and I cannot wait to get stuck in. Publishers Arcadia sent me five books, and sent out lots of books to other bloggers to review, so felt totally spoiled to be one of them. Gretal and the Dark sounds SO good! I have a feeling I will be racing through that one.

I just had to request The Geography of You and Me on Netgalley as at the end of last year I read Jennifer E. Smith's  incredible 'This is What Happy Looks Like' and loved it, so I cannot wait for this one! I bought myself one book from amazon this week as well which was Don't tell the groom as I have read Anna's books before as well and it was only 56p!

So there is my book post for this week. Have you read any of the above? Do let me know in the comments section below. Happy Sunday.

  1. Ohh I love the cover for The Dead Wife's Handbook! And how lucky that the published sent you 5 books in one go, hope they're all as good as they look :)

Aren't book launches the best? Are there any other ones that you know you'll be going to? It'd be great if we can meet up at one ^_^

  7. Alas, book launches are pretty much always in London, which is about 300 miles and a £150+ (just one way) train ticket away from this North East based reader.

You have a fantastic selection there, many happy reads I'm sure!
