Blog Tour: A Little Bird Told Me by Marianne Holmes

I do so love Sundays especially when the weather outside is cold and wet so I have an excuse to stay indoors and read. Today is exactly like that so what more of a perfect post could I share with you than my latest book review. Agora books are a publisher that only came across my radar earlier this year and so far the two books I have read from them have been so good and I am so pleased that Agora picked them up as I would have missed out on these two gems. Funnily enough A Little Bird Told Me nearly slipped from their grasp too, so I feel extra lucky to have got to read this and be part of the blog tour for it for which I share my full review.

How to define your own personal style

Until a few years ago, I was afraid to wear anything that basically wasn't't jeans or hoodies. These were my safe clothes, no would judge me in them or laugh at me. I didn't really have a personal style as I just hid behind what I felt comfortable in. Going into uni, I started to become brave enough to start dressing how I really wanted to dress and began to experiment more with different clothes, patterns and colours. It became a sort of trial and error, sussing out what worked for me. It can be all too easy to just follow the trends, especially with the influence of Instagram and other social media sites, but if you want your clothes to be a way of expressing your individual style then it's so important that you don't blindly follow the trends. This post will hopefully help you how to find what works for you.

Book Review: City of Ghosts by Victoria Schwab

I've only ever read Victoria Schwab's young adults books and loved, so I was really keen to read her middle grade novel City of Ghosts and I'm glad to say that it didn't disappoint!

The Key to Maintaining Youthful Skin

Now that I'm approaching 30! How did that happen? I've started to notice a difference in my skin. There are now creases there where they weren't before, bigger bags under my eyes and things just don't quite seem as tight as they used to be. I'm basically not looking as young as I used to, but for those of us or anyone who is lucky enough to grow old, ageing comes with the territory. While you will never be able to reverse this and I'm not talking about surgery here, there are ways in which you can slow the process down and keep yourself looking youthful for longer.
