This is the second in The Life After Series and I loved Soul Taken, so was so happy when Katlyn invited me to read it from Netgalley. 

Soul Possessed answers a lot of questions that Soul Taken will leave you with and it felt so good for everything to click into place. So if you have not read Soul Taken yet, before you read this review I recommend you read my review for it here: Soul Taken

Maggie has finally been given the chance to become a guard. It is everything she has ever aimed for in the Afterlife. Jackson has finally come back over to their side after working as an undercover agent in The Shadowed, and there is an undeniable attraction between him and Maggie which is also linked to Maggie's past. When Maggie's boss Felix sends her, Jackson, Copper and Ally on a mission to investigate suspicious Shadowed activity, Felix also gives Ally a side mission that she is Sworn on so she cannot tell a soul!

I thought this initially started off a little slow. I thought there were too many reminders and explanations of what had happened in the last book than were necessary, but then the storyline kicked off and I had finished it before I knew it.

It was so nice to get reacquainted with all the characters again and Soul Taken is still very prevalent in mind even though I read it back in July! Maggie's powers are still something she is struggling to control and all of the Guard have learned of her soul eating and stay well away from her. The only person that is willing to go near her is Jackson who has never stop loving her.

There were quite a few unexpected twists in that I could not have predicted. There is a lot more that Maggie doesn't know than she realises and the Shadowed have a lot to do with it.

OMG what a cliffhanger of an ending! Katlyn that is incredibly mean to leave it like that and with no set date has to how long I will have to wait for the final part! Hmph! LOL anyway there is no doubt I will be reading the final part.

Once again Katlyn has had me racing through this with barely a breather as the story took off!
